SYSTEM SUPPORT OPERATIONS

SSO MISSION


SSO’s mission is to provide effective functional systems support, user support, and governance of the Army’s modernized and deployed financial management domain Enterprise Resource Planning systems. This ensures technological capabilities, maturation and evolution align with Army and financial management domain goals and objectives.

This mission is carried out by providing Tier 2 help desk support for both the General Funds Enterprise Business System and the Global Combat Support System-Army, facilitating governance over financial management requirements impacting GFEBS, and shepherding functional enhancements and improvements through the system development and deployment process in conjunction with the GFEBS and GSCC-A Project Management Offices.

SSO also is responsible for designing and deploying value-added dashboards and reports via the GFEBS Business Intelligence toolset; providing instructor-led, end-user refresher training for the GFEBS transactional and data analytics capabilities; and supporting all end users in Army’s financial statement audit endeavors and the GFEBS PMO in the System and Organization Controls audits.

GFEBS TRAINING OFFERINGS


GFEBS Foundations
This course is for personnel new to GFEBS or wanting to expand their capabilites at the resource management technical level. The course will focus on commonly used basic functions and features of GFEBS as well as the initial entry of data in the system. 

GFEBS Intermediate ECC/BI
This course is for personnel currently using GFEBS with three or more years GFEBS and five or more years of financial management expreience wanting to expand their capabilities at the resource management analytical level. It focuses on the end-to-end acquisition process within GFEBS. The skills gained will enhance the user's system navigation competency, understanding of advanced functions and features of GFEBS ECC reporting as well as error research and correction.  

GFEBS TRAINING REGISTRATION


To register for a GFEBS training classs, follow the steps below:

  1. Got to the ALMS homepage at https://www.lms.army.mil and select the "Search" link.
  2. On the Search page, click "Advanced Search." 
  3. On the Advanced Search page, click "Topics." 
  4. In the ID field, enter "USAFMCOM ILT" and click on the "Search Training Catalog" button. 
  5. When the search results appear, locate the topic and click the "Register" link. 
  6. Once complete, ALMS will display a registration confirmation screen.
