Command Sgt. Maj. Kenneth F. Law

Command Sgt. Maj. Kenneth F. Law, a native of McIntosh, Alabama, serves as the U.S. Army Financial Management Command's senior enlisted advisor. Law enlisted in the Army in 1992, attended Basic Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky, and completed Advanced Individual Training as a finance specialist at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis.

Law's assignments include: 8th Finance Battalion, Baumholder, Germany; 101st Finance Battalion, Fort Campbell, Kentucky; 39th Finance Battalion, Hanau, Germany; 369th Adjutant General Battalion, Fort Jackson, South Carolina; 266th Finance Command, Kaiserslautern, Germany; Bravo Detachment, 208th Financial Management Company, Wiesbaden, Germany; 24th Financial Management Support Unit, Fort Stewart, Georgia; 1st Sustainment Brigade, Fort Riley, Kansas; 35th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, Camp Zama, Japan; and 10th Support Group, Torii Station, Okinawa, Japan. In addition, Law deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn and Operation Enduring Freedom.

His military schools and education includes Drill Sergeant School, Air Assault School and all phases of the Noncommissioned Officer Education System.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Alabama and a Master of Science in business from the University of Phoenix.

Law’s awards and decorations include a Bronze Star Medal, five Meritorious Service Medals, five Army Commendation Medals, a Joint Service Achievement Medal, six Army Achievement Medals, nine Army Good Conduct Medals, two National Defense Service Medal, an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, two Afghanistan Campaign Medals, two Iraq Campaign Medals, a Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, an Armed Forces Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon with numeral ‘4’, an Army Service Ribbon, an Overseas Service Ribbon with numeral ‘5’, and a NATO Medal. He also earned an Air Assault Badge and a Drill Sergeant Identification Badge, and he is a recipient of the Major General Horatio Gates Honorary Medal.
